In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products?

In terms of layout, my magazine is very similar in the style of this Cosmopolitan. Both of these covers above have plain backgrounds, mine grey, Cosmopolitan white. Also our tittles are found at the very top of the magazine, in the biggest font. Both magazines again, have only one image of the front, but mine is male, not female. Unlike Cosmopolitan, my feature articles are on the right hand side of the magazine, whereas, Cosmopolitan has their features on the left. This is not a big difference, as they are similar in size and font. My music magazine (M.M.M) only uses three colours as its theme, black, red and yellow. Cosmopolitan also uses red and yellow but also uses blue, and has purple in its image. Again our barcode are in similar places, both in the bottom third but mine o the right, Cosmopolitan on the left. A difference in the magazine is the eye contact made by the icon in the image. Cosmopolitan makes eye contact with the reader whereas mine doesn’t.
