College Magazine Questionaire Analysis

By conducting a questionaire I discovered that 80% of the people asked stated the would want a college magazine. This clearly suggests that their is a gap in the market for a collgege magazine. The majority of people said they would not be willing to pay anything for the college magazine, but 45% said they might. I would resolve this problem by offering the first issue of the college magazine for free. This would allow the customers to see that magazine is worth some money. No one in the questionaire would pay over £2.00 for the magazine, but the majority would pay 50p. So I would obviosuly sell my magazine at 50p with the first issue free. I would publish the magazine fornightly after 90% of the people asked indicated that weekly was too often, and monthly was not enough. My magazine will include at least a gossip page, college information page, course information page, and events article and a jobs section specific for student 16-19. These were the top five desired topics for the magazine chosen in the questionaire by students. I will make sure my front cover is coulurful, bright and eyecathing aswel as having a least 2 pictures as these are the main things that would attract the customers. 70% of people said they are attracted to a magazine due to its picture and the colours used. 80% of students asked declined to subscribing to the college magazine. This is a big problem. I would resolve this my offering a 25% discount on each issue to subscribers only. This would the most loyal readers £1.50 every 6 months.
